 Thomas A. Edison

Known as the "Wizard of Menlo Park" Thomas Edison was a pure genius. As an inventor and a scientist, he created more than a thousand patents for inventions. He set up a lab that soon became known as the Edison Electric Light Company. His most famous creations include: the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and the long lasting electric light bulb. A common mistake people may is to say that Edison invented the telephone, which is false. He was just able to improve the the original design of the telephone which was actually invented by Alexander Graham Bell. Edison is credited for the usuage of "hello" when we answer our phones.
