John Adams
John Adams is second President of the United States, and is also one of the Founding Fathers. During his presidency, events such as Jay's Treaty, the Quasi-War, and the XYZ Affair took place. Towards the end of his presidency, Adams appointed a series of judges known as "midnight judges" which soon led to the Supreme Court case of Marbury v. Madison. Some of Adams's major accomplishments included: signing the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798 and adding Chief Justice John Marshall to the Supreme Court. |
