Lyndon B. Johnson
Having been a Representative, a Senator, a Vice President, and a President, Lyndon B. Johnson has taken all four federal elected offices. Johnson took over as president after JFK's assassination. He was greatly supported by the democratic party. Johnson is credited for designing the "Great Society" legislature which included: public broadcasting, Medicare, Medicaid, environmental protection, and "War on Poverty". He was quite a popular president, until he dragged the United States deeper into the Vietnam War. Johnson's domestic policies=good, foreign policies=not-so-good. |
